I'm New

Hi all, I'm Nat, I'm 22 from the UK. I'm trying to lose 56lbs. I started putting on weight a couple of years ago and since my daughter was born last year I've been piling it on. My uncle asked me a couple of weeks ago if I'm pregnancy again! I've decided this is silly and enough is enough, so I'm determined to lose some weight!

Welcome! Do you have a food and/or exercise plan in mind?

Honestly not really...I did try slimming world for a while but it got a bit much weighing everything and having to consult the damn book to see how many syns everything had when I was shopping.
At the moment I'm just trying not to snack, and to eat relatively healthily....I'm choosing things like salads and meals that say they're low fat, that sort of thing.

As for exercise....I'm reaaaaallly terrible at exercise...I have a manual treadmill but it's really annoying to get it out and put it away again. For a while I was walking for 45 minutes every day in the park pushing a pram, but the weather has gone rubbish now so I've not been able to get out.
I really wanna do something fun so that it doesn't really feel like hard work, but I can't think of anything. Any suggestions?

We have similar goals :) I have an exercise bike and a weight machine so I the equipment, but sometimes its hard to get the motivation. I am trying to walk (rain or shine) 2.5 miles a night after work with a couple of friends plus I do my bike in the morning and I stretch and do Pilate type things (I haven't worked up to the actual work-out yet.) Turning on the radio and dancing is so fun, both my kids like to join me. I'm also thinking of getting a jump rope.

Dancing is kinda fun I must admit....I've got one of those dance mats that you plug into the computer...you know like the arcade dancey game thinggy...I used to use it all the time but I haven't touched it in about a year. It might be an idea for me to get it out. I wish my daughter could dance with me but she can't even walk yet haha! Ah well. Admittedly she gives my arms a good workout just carrying her about (not so great on my back though) ;)
