New here from canada

Ahh where to begin? I have been fighting weight gain for as long as I can remember I was an active child but got quite fat when I had a live in aunt who showed me that chocolate and deep fried things taste good. I never noticed I was bigger, I just had curves as everyone put it, but I finally had enough when I was 17 and busted my *** and lost 25 pounds and looked damn good if I do say so myself. Well before I got a chance to keep the weight off, I found out I was pregnant, I gained only 25 lbs while I was pregnant, but after my ds was born, I just ate and ate and ate. I went in for a fitness test and I got on the scale and saw that I weighed 189 pounds. :( I had never weighed this much ever in my life. I got more upset and ate even more. Finally I got some sense, and started eating right and going to the gym. I have lost 12 lbs and am determined to get back down to my goal weight between 150 and 158. I am so glad I found this forum alot of you ladies have inspired me today! Thanks for reading my long story!!

Hey there! Your post cracked me up. I wasnt small as a child and I wasnt big (but I thought I was.) When I look back, I can see my size was just right. Fast forward to 35 years old,3 kids, busy life, and scattered mind . Now I'm at least 30 pounds overwieght, thats probably underestimating. Also, your name cheerleadermommy caught my eye because my daughter does competitive cheerleading.

That's great! I was a high school cheerleader and my daughter is just beginning competitive cheering so that aspect (competition) is new to us. We havent started competition yet, the first is in October. I'm really exicted but dont know what to expect. I know its going to be alot of work and time put into it. This also will be her 2nd year of elementary cheering, its just simple football sideline cheering. I'll probably be assisting the coach this year so I'd love any advice or info.

You'll love competitive cheerleading. It's really intense but alot of fun. Good luck!
