HELP! New Here...
Hi Everyone!
I am new here. I found out a couple of months ago that my liver enzymes were really high due to some moderate fat around my liver. I've been having my enzymes checked every 3 or 4 weeks now to see where they are. My gastroenterologists told me today that I need to lose 115 pounds!:( And he said that if I didn't lose it, he would expect to be seeing me back within the next 10 years so that he can tell me how long I have left to live! Because this is very serious and weight loss is no longer and "option" for me...it's a necessity! I just don't know how I'm going to do this! I don't even know where to begin! Any help anyone can offer would be appreciated. Thanks, Linda |
I would make your signature read "Losing 115 lbs!!!!" take the question out of it. :D
I have lost 110 twice in my life. You can lose 115 lbs, you can. I belonged to a weight support group years ago and one member was such an inspiration to us, his name was Brian. His attitude was so positive he left no doubts he was going to succeed. He posted this: The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.” ~Charles Swindoll Reading other weight loss success stories helped me too and exercising. I never thought I would enjoy walking. Come down to Back In Kindergarten (under misc clubs) to chat if you want!! and congrats on your weight loss so far!!:D |
