I need a buddy please.....someone help me!

  • Well lets see.. I need someone to help me. I have recently lost 73lbs...I am not done yet. I feel myself slipping. Not really with my food habits but with my exercise. I think I am getting bored. Everyone in my life is tired of talking about it. I can't find a walking partner.. I need someone to chat with.

    I can give lots of tips also. I think I had a good plan and just need to got that last mile..

    I am a 32 year Momma to 4 kids. I live in Arkanas..and raise horses! I love to read and I love to chat. I need a friend though..lol

    Some one to email and chat with about this weight loss journey!

  • I am going through the exact same thing. I have recently lost 70lbs and I am now down to 154lbs. However, there isn't that same level of support around me either because everyone I know is sick of talking about it. Also, I am so tired of hearing that I am too skinny, etc. I think it is so shocking for people to see me at 154 instead of 224 that they forget that I still have fat on my body and they don't respect that I still want to work on myself.

    I am also struggling with the same self-esteem issues that plagued me before I lost the weight. Somehow I think deep down I thought if I could just be skinny everything else would be great.

    It is definitely more of a struggle lately to stick to the diet. I find myself snacking at night a lot more often, something that I didn't do for 8 months. Now I can't seem to show any kind of self-control.

    I am 26 years old with 2 kids. I have been married for almost 6 years. I live in Illinois.

    If you need someone to talk to I would love to talk to you. Sometimes it feels so good to talk to someone going through the same thing you are.
  • I dunno if you'd want to be my buddy or not, because I am just starting (re starting!) this weight loss journey. I had lost 70 lbs and then gained it back due to this eveeel medication!

    Anyhow, I eat about 1200 cals a day,lots of healthy fats (peanuts, olive oil), very low saturated fat (around 12-15 grams a day) and I excersize30 mins 6 days a week on my elliptical (which I love!) Tomorrow is my first weigh in day! Wish me luck and I wish you luck too! We can do it!

  • I am working to reach my goal weight. I have increased my exercise and would to chat about losing weight, exercising and once reaching goal maintaining. I am more than happy to exchange emails or post here for support.
  • Hi and Welcome. I have lost 81 lbs. so far and have 8 lbs. to go to goal. I am down to 153 and am having trouble with every one being tired of talking about weight loss too. My husband has been very supportive, but now listens with 1 ear. I keep hearing, "you're already skinny". I want to make it to my goal and feel I definitely still have a few more lbs. to lose, esp. on my tummy. If anyone wants to chat, I would love it.

  • I think that I have found a place where I fit in! I too had done really well losing weight~gotten down from 220 to 164~still had further to go, but I had to have surgery last year and it was a pretty major set back for me.
    Now I am at 178 and now have 23 lbs to go to meet goal...
