4/25/06 would love to get involved

  • Hello Everyone,
    I have been snooping around on the site now for a couple of weeks, I have ask a few questions, but would love to get more involved.
    I have been dieting for about a month, I have not lost much weight but I am not giving up. I feel that I am at a age is either now or never. I am determined to get the wieght off. (I don't know why, but I can figure it out as I go along) I would love to start a challange with someone. I am going to the beach in Aug. and would love to be 200 or less by then. I don't know if it's possible. The weight has been fighting me every step of the way, almost as if it has a mind of its own.
    I am a bank manager, so I don't get much exersize, and I work long hours, I also have 4 kids, and even though 3 of them are teens, I am very busy. I have to find the time I know, but its hard to do.
    I weigh about 255 now, I was 268 when I started a month or more ago. I would love to loose 55 lbs by mid Aug. Anyone want to join me?

    Welcome, welcome, welcome! I would love to be your weight loss buddy! I'm new here also, only a week, and I already really enjoy the ladies and their suggestions and encouragement. I also have teenage children, and I work a desk job. It's tough to get moving after work, because I'm zapped, and still have to be a mom and wife!

    You've come to a great place for advice & support!

    May I ask what plan you have chosen to follow? Whatever it is, being Atkins, South Beach, WW, etc...follow it, don't deviate from it & the weight will come off! You CAN do this!!!

  • I guess I am doing my own thing. I am not really following any "program"
    Just keeping it very low cal, low fat.
  • I'd be happy to be your buddy! I'm an office worker myself and I have 3 kids and sometimes its just hard to fit in exercise!

  • I'd do a challenge with you. I am at 230 and that would be great if I could be down to 200 by August. I need a challenge to kick my butt in gear. You could have a challenge named the 200's or something like that. I tried to do the challenge 15 pounds in 2 months, but not many were interested. You could also post minichallenges each week to help everyone with their goals. For example, drink 8 glasses of water daily or don't exceed you max. amount of calories, or work out 5 days...or something along those lines. I'll be here if you need my help or any tips or advice.
