I'm a new one!
Well, here I am! My name is Debbie and I started a Herbalife diet on March 27\06. My weight then was 226lbs. I am 38 years old and I come from a family of very large people. I was never taught how to count calories or anything like that. My weight has been a problem to me my whole life! I have 4 children of which only 2 still live at home. I have tried many different diets never to loose any weight and that is honestly trying. But, I decided to try this one because my spouse use to sell it and swore by it. When I started I said that I would give it a try for a month and see. Well, here I am in my second month now. It is working but, one thing that I know is I have to change my ways......such as eating and exercise! So, I am learning now! I started a gym a couple of weeks ago and I am going at least 5 times a week. On the 25th of April I was down to 215 lbs. wow! Could not believe my eyes when I looked at the scale. As of right now I am back to 219 lbs. but, I am not worried about that as I was told that I would probably gain 5 lbs. because of the muscle I am building. i9 had a friend join the gym with me but, I feel like she comes up with excuses not to go and I end up going by myself or she does not want to stay as long as I would like. I was telling her that I was trying to learn about calorie counting and made a comment one day about how many calories something that she was buying had and she then told me that I was taking the fun out of our dieting. Since when is dieting suppose to be fun. I think it should be something serious! Exspecially if you want to loose the weight! So, I guess I am looking for someone else to talk to about what I might learn or learn what others can tell me!

So far, I feel really good on it. I'm doing the flex plan in which you have so many points to use a day. It's not hard and I'm trying new recipes and trying to eat healthier. Trying not to binge which sometimes I do if I'm bored or depressed!!! lol
I'm going on a cruise on June 10th, so I want to be below 200 by then. I've set myself up a challenge. I'm also drinking 8-10 glasses of liquids a day, diet Koolaid, water, whatever at hand. Good luck on your diet. |
