Greetings! Newbie here

Greetings!

I just found 3FC and am so very impressed with the amount of support here. I would dearly love to become involved with supporting others on their weightloss goals and having support for me as well.

Bit about myself; 32 year old wife, mother of one daughter who is 12 but does not live with us. I have been vegan for almost 3 years and vegetarian prior for 5 due to food allergies and IBS. Unfortunately I have very bad knees, surgury planned for May 25th for the left one. I can not run, jump or even walk down the stairs without being very aware of where I put my feet and if I am holding on. So exercising is a trial for me, though I do try to ride my recumbant bike.

In February I fell down and dislocated my knee, thus destroying the prior surgery and requiring another one. I know if I loose 40 pounds my knees will be happier. Trying to do this on my own leads to anger and binging on chocolate or desserts or pretzels.

So here I am looking for a buddy or two! Thanks for your time and help.

Hi Cali! Welcome. I am new here too and so glad to find this site! I need all of the support I can get as do most people struggling with weight issues. My health is suffering and I really need to get a grip on myself! Maybe we can email each other some. Let's do it!
