Hi signed up last year and I'm back
Hello everybody! I signed up July '05 but my computer broke not too long after and I was without it for months. I've been online for a while but I just hadn't had the chance to come back. I have to start from scratch. Looking for friends and support. I'm a 5'2", 235lb mom of 2 with a very skinny family. I'm tired of being called "chubbs" and "fatty". I'm just very glad I found this community. This time I'm going to reach my goal, which is to lose 100 pounds.
Any advice will be very appreciated. |
Hi welcome back! I am new here about a week I have three kids 5'2" and also have skinny fam! I am 168lbs and I have started by changing diet. For the family too not too many complaints. I have totally quit drinking soda and joined my local gym. I do about 40 min of good ol' cardio and 10 min warm up and cool down. I have also uped my protien intake and lowered carbs. I do still allow myself to snack a bit. but try to go for fruit of veg. or a protien rich snack insted of chips or those snack cakes my kids have laying around! If I do end up screwing up I tell myself tomorrow is another day! and try and slip in more activity due to guilt! lol well i hope this helps a bit! feel free to pm me any time!! Hiii! thanks for the advice! I'm definitely going to follow it. As much as I hate it, I think signing up for the local gym will do a lot of help (groan lol)

Anytime!! I promise if you join your local gym. You will start to love it. I was felt really out of place the first few times I went. But, you then relize nobody cares they are there to get in their workouts and nobody is starring at you. I think some are kind of glad to see new people come in to get healthy! you will start to like everything about it even the smell of the place and then you can't wait to go! talk soon love, amyz

Best of luck to you, i'm new also actually yesterday was my first day here. I have absolutely NO willpower, that is my biggest downfall. I've dieted on and off for the past 20 yrs + so i've really ticked off my metabolism..lol I'm doing my own version of Atkins, I may not lose as fast but I HAVE to be able to have fruit and veggies, you're very limited on this plan with fruits, but I can't for the life of me think eating an apple or banana is going to kill me! hopefully!!! lol
