New to the Group

Hello everyone. I my name is Jodi and I am new to the group. I presently am working on losing about 100 lbs. I know a lot.

At my heaviest I was 276 that was about 3 years ago and at my lowest (high school) I was 146 (but I don't look good at 146) My goal is to get to 160 and we will see from there.

This past week I really have commited myself. I started at 250 this past week and today am down to 247. I am now drinking more tea and a lot of water. I am cutting back my eating with out starving.

I do not get to work out enough if at all. finding time is hard. I work more than full time, go to school full time, have 2 kids and am trying to start up my own web sites.

So finding a buddy to keep me going would really help. I finally weigh less than my husband and want to keep it that way.

:welcome3:

Welcome to the boards! Good job on your new start :) We have similar stats and goals.

I guess I started hmmm..around June. Difficult to say because I didn't really wake up one day and decided to lose weight, just decided to start eating better and things evolved from there. Added walking in the Fall and then weights + more serious cardio at the end of November.

I'm pretty happy with the results so far :D Of course, the scale could move a little faster some weeks but it doesn't matter, I just feel good doing what I'm doing so I don't stress about the scale too too much :) Ok I lied, sometimes I do stress about it but I am not letting it distract me from my goal, which is to be healthy first and foremost. I am bigger than the scale and I know it is more afraid of me than I am of it. ;)

Goodluck on your journey and feel free to drop me a line! You or anyone out there. It's always fun to hear what others are doing and share advice and some butt kicking in time of need. :D
