hi, my name is Liz, I am 50 and need to lose weight for my diabetes is out of control. I am disabled with a bad back so don't work. I weigh 285 today, down 5 from 2 weeks ago, still i could use some support. My hubby works nights and sleeps days, so lonely i get, like to do all crafts, read, etc. like animals, have 1 cat, 2 dogs and 5 parrots. I would make a good buddy as i am always here and i have a big heart, so come on someone take a chance, you won't regret it. have a great day hugs liz:hug:

Sounds like we have a few things in common . . .

Diabetes . . . I guess I'm in fairly good control but it takes a lot of medication to do it . . . glyburide, metformin, actos, and insulin . . . and my glucose still gets too high if I don't watch what I eat. I know things would be a lot better if I could lose some weight. It's certainly not easy, especially since insulin does a great job of tucking extra fat into your cells, especially around the abdomen.

Animals . . . 3 cats for me
Crafts . . . knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, sewing
Reading . . . love mysteries, spooky stuff (Stephen King, Dean Koontz type), and legal thrillers

Not teenagers . . . although you are still just a baby from my 62 year old vantage point.

At home . . . I'm retired so I'm available a lot of the time, too.

Hi, I am just starting out on this long road of weight loss and even though I have been there before I too need a buddy. I would love to Buddy up with you and we can offer encouragement and friendship through this task.

I have my own disabilities, I recently have been told I have advanced arthritis in both knees and will probably have to have replacement surgery. I would like to get this weight off to improve my chances with artifical knees. I also have high BP which I have had most of my adult life.

I am 51yo. But determined to lose this weight. Please let me know if you still need a buddy.
