Over 300 lbs and lookign for support.
My name is Bella, I’m 24 years old from Oregon. Bella is an alias, but I don’t feel like I’d enjoy having the entire world know my business.
I just had my gullbladder removed, which was a tramatic experience for me. I had never been in the hospital before and certainly had never had IVS put into me, needed help going to the bathroom, been half naked in a room full of strangers, undergone surgery. Because of the surgery, I know I need to make a complete lifestyle change. I made a lot of bad choices in the past health wise. I have not taken care of my body at all and now that has to change. I’m hoping to find a support system through this community that can help me reach my goals, by being somewhat like my cheerleading team. I have a very big problem with people that are only looking to lose 5 or 10 vanity pounds. I wish to only speak with truly obese people, or people that do understand what it is like to be an obese woman in the world today. People who scoffs at size 14-26 being ‘plus size’, and understands that being a 28/30+ makes life hard to find nice clothing. Not interested in Romance. Just support. |
Hi Bella
hope your feeling bit better after being in hospital, im not a fan only been in one to hav my son. iv just joined today, im also 24 and a size 28/30. i want to lose weight and be able to run around after my son. also i fear that if i keep gaining at the rate i have i wont be around to see my son grow up. not sure bout being a member of ur cheerleading team..(do they do the tiny outfits in xxxxxxxxxL? lol) but will gladly be a supportive friend. need all the help and support i can get too!! |
Bella and Andrewsmom.... Saw your post and thought I'd tell you about the 100lb/1 year thread. Would love to have you join us. We are all ages, with a goal of loosing a 100lbs by Jan 07. I have 235lbs to loose and started back with Weight Watchers almost 2 weeks ago. I have found sooooo much support from my 100lb buddies. :carrot: :carrot: Check us out on page 10 of support buddies.
Bella...I feel for you. Having your gallbladder out is no fun Being obese,is worse. The gowns don't fit, being naked and obese in front of a room full of strangers, I cringe at the thought. You can loose this weight, but it won't happen overnight. Slow and steady, with diet and exercise and SUPPORT. Where in Oregon are you from? I was born and raised in Ashland till I married. Moved back to Salem in 1988 and then Portland from 1990-98, where we moved to North Dakota. Hope to see you in 100lb/1 year, Cheryl |

Hi Bella, I hope you are doing well in your receovery.
I can certainly identify with your distate in hospitals; I'm not exactly a fan of them myself, and I've been treated for a myriad of problems over the years, the latest having my appendix removed this past September--which happened to be on the wrong side of my body to boot! I am 43 (44 three weeks from this coming Wednesday), and currently a 22/24; back in March 2004 when I began my own journey, I wore a 32/34 and am aiming to be a 12 eventually. I'm doing this for me in hopes to look and feel healthier, not to have the butt of a 25 year old. And nearly 60 pounds down, I am already feeling the difference. I applaud you for wanting to make healthier choices; I think none of us would be here if that wasn't the case. It's not the easiest thing to do (nothing worth achieving really is, is it?), but once those good habits are practiced long enough , they become almost second nature. Good luck to you--you have indeed come to the right place! |
Hey gals!
I am a true "web foot!" Born and raised in Oregon. Anywho. I had my gallbladder out in 200 and that was an experience for me as well. I still need to lose 160 pounds. I wear a 4X sometimes 3X I had my gallbladder out too.
I am looking for people to be buddies with also. I am like you, I want to talk to people with a lot to lose if possible. There seem to be quite a few people with a lot to lose here. Also, several who have lost a lot which is encouraging to me. If you are interested in being buddies, please PM me. I dont need to know your real name. I live in Texas just outside of Houston by the way. Good luck with the weight loss and keep your chins up (ha ha ha) Little inside humor there. Take care and Happy New Year - This will be the year for major changes!! |
Its strange that you type this. Im new here. Im 24 and live in Alabama. I am just a little over 300. And I recently had my gallbladder taken out back in May 2005. That was the 2nd time that I had been in a hospital. The only other time was when i had my daughter in 2004, but I was big before getting pregnant with her. Feel free to contact me anytime.
