New Here :)
Hey there
my name is jenn i'm 21 and i have 2 boys.. logan is three and liam is 6 weeks :) Each pregnancy I gained a lot of weight.. 83lbs with my first and about 50 with my second. My last OB appointment before i had Liam i was 246lbs... today I am 217. I'd really like to lose 30lbs by my birthday (June 23rd).. so that gives me 6 months to get it off!. I'm going this month to get my YMCA membership back and plan on going atleast 3-4 days a week. My biggest vice is junk food!.. i can eat it and eat it like it's going out of style! do any of you have any trick/tips to help me get started?.. any good video's, equiptment ec?.. any help/advice is appreciated. thanks and best of luck to you all! |
Starting anew
I started this week as well. I've done this before after child #1 and child #2. This is after child #3. I'm curious about the YMCA membership. I've been researching that today. Depends a lot on the cost as well. I made a post on here of 5 min recipes/food ideas. Plan ahead, eat throughout the day. Think real food. Don't buy the junk food. But don't feel guilty if you slip. Try not to say, "oh well, I might as well keep eating it." Think of it as 1 day at a time challenge." Keep mini-goals. Journal (many on here are journaling on www.fitday.com). Think nutrition. Make a master plan of food ideas (you can add as you go along) so when you run out of ideas of what to buy and fix, you can refer back to the master list.

I had a gym membreship before i found out i was pregnant with Liam (that's why i cancelled). I really like the ymca.. because you pay a 60.00 administration fee and your monthly fee to start (was 40.00 ). And if you have to cancel you're not penalized.. there's no contract or anything.. if you want to start again (like me) all you have to do is pay the 60.00 again.. you won't be paying for a membership you don't even have... you won't feel locked down. |
