Hi! I'm new here...

Hi everyone!
I've decided to make a real effort on losing weight...again. Hopefully this time will stick!
I started gaining weight at age 5 due to a trauma and by 10 was severely obese. I've been over 250lbs since the age of 12, but it's only been since my daughter was born in May 2005 that I have gone up over 300lbs.
I'm sick of being sore. I'm sick of being exhausted. I'm sick of being sick!
Now I'm not only thinking of myself, I also want to be healthy enough to be the best mom possible and that can't happen at 307lbs.
Hopefully all of you can help me and I can help you as well.
Kay :cheer:

Welcome, Kay.
Do have any idea how you want to go about this or are you hunting for ideas? Either way you'll find lots of inspiration right here at 3fc.

I am ready to make the year 2006 the year for me to finally lose all this weight that has caused me such problems since I was 5-6 years old.

Hi guys.
Sorry it's taken me so long to reply, it's been a CRAZY week to say the least! I'll tell you all about it. Right now we're getting ready to go to the airport and fly back home to Colorado. So once I'm there and unpacked I'll get back on and say some more.
Thank you for the emails that I received
Kay

Also new and looking for "start-up help"

Hello all.

I am looking for the extra support that is always needed when trying to lose weight. Several years ago I was at my highest at 260 lbs and didn't recognize myself in pictures. I went on Atkins and have lost 80lbs. I was so so strict on Atkins and it became easy for me to follow. I was also working out alot and doing classes.

For the last year I have slipped and couldn't seem to get back on-board. Until the traditional New Year's resolution which provides the jump start I need to get going again. So today is the first day of the new plan: eat healthy, move and feel better.

What I am looking for is help with supplements as I get started - what are the best things to take in order to help the weight loss process?

Also - how do you get those great weight loss trackers attached to your posts - I love the visual.

Thanks all - and best of luck.

Brand New Start

Hi all, I'm new to 3FC and I'm determined to lose weight again.
I was never really overweight till I got pregnant with my first child in 2002. I weighed in at 180 at 5'3" went up to 250lbs and I now weigh 225.:?:

After my matrenity leave was up, I went back to work and joined a Weight Watchers work program and I worked really hard at losing and followed the plan accordingly and lost 19lbs (216.5). I was stressed and tired from work and the babay not sleeping, that I took a break from the WW group.

So now I want to start all over because I want to get pregnant again and I don't want to be that huge again.

I have a friend who makes me go to the gym everyday, we have one here at work, and another friend who's in the same situation as I am and we email each other everyday to talk about our day. :ebike:

But I do need more support because I have a weekness and can give up easily.
I now weigh 225LBS and need help getting to my goal of 150. That's my long term goal. Short term is to lose 2lbs a week.

So if anyone needs a friend to chat to pm me and lets get started!!!:carrot:

another newbie

Hi there,

Just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. My name is Eilana and I'm newbie to 3 chicks also. I would like to also 'throw my hat in' with the folk who will be striving to live a healthier and happier life in 2006.

I've always been rubenesque and I have finally learned to love my body. I learned that what others think really matters naught to me. So ... now it's time to get this housing my spirit resides within [at the very least] able to walk the dogs and stairs without huffing and puffing.

I hope to be able to share the trials and tribulations of this particular journey with ya'll.

If anyone would be interested in having a weight loss buddy and is located in the Northern Virginia area ... please drop me a line.

Eilana
