Newbie Looking For A Buddy!!!
 

hello there! I'm new here. I would love to have a buddy. As you can tell by my tracker I haven't started losing yet but would love to reach my goal of 140 lbs. by May 25, 2006, my 2nd wedding anniversary to my wonderful Dh. I plan to start on the 1st of January. I'm not positive how the "buddy system" works either but I would love to try. If anyone is interested please pm me!
Here's alittle about me: I am a 21 year old married mother of 2 beautiful girls. I am currently living in Brunswick, Georgia but was born and raised in Rhode Island. I love a ton of things like movies, music and design as well as a ton of other things, if only I had more time to myself to do them. I also love to cook and eat, so God knows this might be alittle harder then I think it's going to be. But anyways, wish me luck!!!! :)

Hey Leigh! Where abouts in GA are you? I'm in Brunswick. Well, I'm totally new to the whole weight loss thing. I have never tried a diet before in my life. I was thinking of trying out WW. I have a program on my computer which helps me determine what points foods have. (if you'd like the program too, I added a post to WW Food and Point Issues with the download. Click here to see the post: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70879) I also am interested in the activity points too. Today at 3:30 I walked a mile and a half with my 2 girls. I just moved to this neighborrhood on Nov. 1st and had my second daughter Nov. 13th so I never really had time to meet anyone in my area, so I decided to walk around and get some exercise and try to meet some people. I didn't see many people out but I did talk to 3 or 4 people. I live in a community area so I walked down every street. I was out for a half hour exactly. Thats cool cuz if I walk every morning before the girls get up and every afternoon with them, I get my exercise for the day, nevermind the fact that I'm chasing a 1 1/2 year old around all day too. I plan to actually start counting my points and keeping a weight loss journal on the 1st of January. I used to be very active, so being heavy was never really a problem. But since my pregnancys I've let myself go alot. And I'll do anything to look good for my 2nd anniversary with my dh this year in May. I was just wondering, what made you decide to lose weight and how exactly are you going about doing so?

by the way, your goal date caught my eye as it is my horse's birthdate, and I am partially losing for him...so he doesn't have to carry so much weight!!!!!!!!!!!!

I 30 min south of Augusta and I been at my latest try sence Nov 17 I walk at work for 30 mins I been tryin to lose 50 by March. I have two kids one girl(9 going on 29) and one boy(6 who is 100% boy) I have been married for 12 years. I really want to do this but its hard. I been tryin to do this on my own I dont have the money to do the program so Its all me:D. I do better when I have some one to work with I dont like doing this on my own. So I could really use some one to talk to and help me keep on track. If you want to we can work together. I think it would be alot of fun to have a buddy to share the load with. If you want to we could be buddys just let me know.

Sure I'd love to be your buddy. :hug: We can help eachother through all this. I actually have a blog that I set up to journal my progress and to see if anyone who happens to browse by it will also kick my butt to keep up the work. I can ad you to it and we can share it. We can make it our journey together. I already called it Big Momma but I can change it to Big Mommas. LOL Just trying to give us something to do together. I'm not sure if you are fimiliar with blogger but if you are interested in it I'll send you a pm with the address and passwords and stuff. Let me know! Right now I also am completely broke. I am planning on working with the WW point system on my own not with all the meetings. if you download the program I posted about earlier that will help you out alot. Do you have any idea on how to figure out how many points you'll need a day? If not let me know how tall you are and I can figure it out for you. ;) Also I know how the activity points work too so you'll be set without having to pay anything. Trust me we can do this! I'll never give up! I may fall of track alittle but hey, I know I'll get right back up and get right back on. We WILL reach our goals!!! We WILL NOT give up!!! We WILL be thin again!!! We WILL do it together!!! :D
