Newbie from Oregon-USA

:coolVery cool site! This is just what I needed.

I use to weigh 352 1/2 lbs. I now weigh 185. I have not lost anymore weight in almost a year!!!! It's like,"What's wrong with me?" Well, I know...I stopped exercising...bad me! LOL! My motivation went down hill.

Well the last 2 days, I have been "lurking" around and really liked what everyone was saying. I need the motivation to get back into exercising. I am pretty sure all of you would help me.

So, if anyone would like to buddy up with me, or even two of you, that'll be great!

Hiya Emerald Dragonfly,
:welcome3:

I'm originally from Seattle, transplanted to the North Coast..... Cali. actually lol. I always swore I'd wind up on the coast, but always thought it would be Oregon. I'm partial to Florence area ;) but here I am in Cali  and I love it.

3fc is a great site for sure. You will find just about anything you could be looking for here. Most important imo, is finding a great group for support. You should check out PIC's (Partners in Crime) group in the support forum. We are all on different programs, WW or SBD etc.... but everyone has a common goal :cheer: and we support each other- lend a shoulder or even give a lil kick in da bootie if needed.
Just look around for a while and you'll be sure to find what you need :)

Good luck to you!!!! Hope to seeya around.

Hi Emerald :)

I took a loooong break at right around your weight too. It wasn't until the scale started to creep back up again that I got the urge to finally lose the rest of the weight I wanted to.

You should be incredibly proud that you've maintained your loss for a year. I think breaks from active weight loss can be helpful and necessary when you've got a lot to lose. I think part of the reason my metabolism is still in decent shape is due to taking some breaks along the way.

Welcome! I hope you find this place as helpful and inspiring as I have :)

Thank you for welcoming me. I will be exercising with my kids after school...DDR (Dance, Dance Revolution) It's a PS2 game. That's how I lost most of my weight last year. My son, Chris, bought me the new one 2 weeks ago...I forgot he bought it for me!!!!! So, we're all going to take turns today...even do a little Karoke w/ it. :)

iwmonn- Oregon is a bit cold these days......21-29 degrees!!!! Mt. Hood area is having plenty of snow for the ski season and north coast area is the warmest in the entire state!!! I am soooo ready for spring/summer!!!
