Looking for 50 something to buddy up with

:)
Hello,
I am a 52 year old mother of 2 and grandmother of 1 who would like to buddy up with someone who has been experiencing a lack of motivation in losing 40 lbs. I am in peri-menopause (mental-pause!!) and feel that I am not able to lose even 1 pound. I am at the "I don't care" stage, even though I know I do care. I don't have much energy to exercise and seem to find all sorts of excuses. I would love to look and feel better. It would be nice to lose a little weight before Christmas.
So, if you would like to buddy up with me, I would be greatly appreciative.
Thanks so much for reading this! :^:

Hi

Hi, I'm another grandma here who needs (must) lose some weight and off to a bad start! I do well all day and blow it all on night time snacking! Due to menopause I no longer sleep well, so, what do I do? I stay up and eat! It's got to stop! I am married, have 1 son and 2 adorable grandchildren! With the Holidays comming up I have an added incentive. Who doesn't want to look a little better for the Holidays. But at this rate I'll have to go to the parties nude because I refuse to buy a larger size! If either/both of you want to buddy up, please feel free to e-mail me.

Hi slim me,
Well I am glad someone responded. I guess I am fortunate I am post menapausal, haven't had too much of a problem. Some anxiety and depression which a pill takes care of for now. A few hot flashes, not too often though. I just found out on Sunday that I have osteoporosis in my left and right hip and my lower back. So now I will be taking another pill for that. Besides a few others that I have been on. I know if I could lose some of this weight it would be so healthy for me.
I joined the biggestloser club 3 weeks ago, and have been doing good. I have lost 5 pounds. i could have lost more except for not being able to do the exercises they have. i am just getting over a tailbone injury. But as soon as this is healed I have to start.
I know about the snacking thing. I find that if I make some airpopped popcorn and have a yogart with fruit of any fruit it seems to satisfy me. Popcorn is the best, it is crunchy, salty, and it takes awhile to eat.
Well we are kinda neighbors, I am from Minnesota. have been to Mi. snowmobiling many years ago.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Deb

Hi Deb,
It's me, Sister Sue. I would love to buddy up with someone who can relate. I am peri-menopausal and have some weird mood swings as well as just plain tired. The motivation to move is just not there.
Congratulations on your 5 lb loss. That's terrific! At this point in my life, 5lbs would be awesome. How did you get yourself motivated to get started? That's my problem right now. I keep putting off getting started.
Would love to continue our conversations. : :)
