hello everybody - new, young, and ready!
hi. i'm kalen. i'm 20 (21 in a week & a half), from kentucky. i'm a full-time college junior. my stats are in my signature.
i'm kind of nervous about this whole thing because i want to do this right and healthy and i want to make actual lifestyle changes... but being a creature of habit (AND CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!) this might be hard ;) i like walking, i'm active on my school's dance team (we practice twice a week), and i love pilates & yoga (aka: i like low-impact exercises). i realize some of you may think that i'm already at a low weight, but 120 is the higher side of my ideal weight for my height. also, my cholesterol is very high, especially for my age. and on top of that, diabetes runs in my family. :( :) ok so that's that! :carrot: |
Welcome! It looks like your plan will help to lower your cholesterol but if you are serious about really making a change in your cholesterol and lowering it dramatically, check out "The Mc Dougall plan for Weight Loss"...there is a thread on it here with a small amount of information, but you can also look at your library for that book or his other books on reversing/preventing heart disease and you can get the info you need. People have dropped cholesterol by as much as 40 points in just 11 days on his plan! It is a healthy plan and takes your ideas to the next level (it's a zero cholesterol plan).
