I have come on this website a number of times, and finally decided I should register!

I am 24 yrs old, and I am currently at 229 lbs... I am so ashamed that I let myself get this way. My husband and I want to start a family, and it has been a constant struggle. We are fighting "unexplained infertility"... Gee, thanks doc! Deep down in my heart I know that the problems we are having could directly be due to my weight. I want a family more than anything! If that's not motivation, I don't know what it!

I am so glad that I stumbled onto this website! I can't wait to get to know you all! And, of course, let you all get to know me! Finally a place where I can be open and honest about myself and this struggle...

Glad you found the boards, I know how hard it is to lose weight as I have been trying for the last 36 years. I have 223 pounds to go. You can come and join our "buddies looking to lose 20 or less pounds by Christmas" if you like. It is a great group, just set your own goal and let us help cheer you on!

Hey Amber ... I'm new too and so far, I'm loving it! Everyone is great and you will find yourself being to be the most honest while you're here ... at least for me anyway!

Sounds like we are in the same boat! I'm 24, married, and am also trying to conceive. We've been trying to about 2 months to no avail. I'm already unsatisfied with my weight, so I definitely want to lose a few pounds before becoming preggers!!! Good luck! Maybe we can KIT once I get a plan together!
