Hello everyone!
Hello! I'm new here so I guess I should introduce myself. I am a 21 y/o student and I just got married so I'm ready to start a new life! I'm beginning a low calorie diet and I'm going to try to follow the FDA food pyramid. I haven't begun an excercise program yet :o but I hope to soon! It's just hard to get moving when you're as big as I am I guess! I'm trying to go slow this go around, because in the past I've taken on so much at one time and just gotten discouraged... I want to make a change this time! I hope to be encouraged by your own stories. Have a wonderful day!

Welcome to the group.
Sounds like you are in a good frame of thinking. It's best to start out slow and work your way up. There's nothing worse than getting frustrated and giving up. I would set yourself some mini goals to accomplish each month or every few months. Work on adding some exercise in slowly and each week add a couple more reps, some weights. I know what you mean about feeling too big to get moving. I was at 240 and I am down to 212. I still feel some days that I am just too big to do this but I give it a go. I am jogging in place in my home because I don't dare do that in public. I hope one day I will be able to run 5 miles outdoors and not be ashamed of who I am. Just keep up the good work and remember tomorrow is another. Try to focus on what you want to accomplish. Keep a food journal is good too. It helps you to see what you are putting into your body everyday. :cheer: |
Hey! I am new too and have about the same weight to lose. Keep focused (you WILL do this!) and if you are looking for a buddy, PM me!
