Need to start something!!!!

HI there!!! I'm 36 and a mother of 2 young girls. Tried South Beach but it just doesn't work for me. Not sure what I'm doing now. I'm trying to keep my portions under control. i think that is my main problem. My portions are usually too big and I get used to that "Oh man, I think I ate too much" feeling.

Right now I eat 2 hard boiled eggs for breakfast, lunch is a salad and dinner I'm trying to eat more fish and veggies. Snacks are nuts and fruit.

I used to run a lot. Somehow these passed few months I got very lazy and gained like 10 pounds from not running at all. I figure when my kids go to school I'll go back to the gym and do some running outside and on the treadmill.

Anyone out there know a good woe for me??? I hate depriving myself of foods like what not to eat. But I'm more for something that just needs to control my portions. Is there anything out there like that???

I also want to add I'm only 5'0 so that's why my goal is at 115!!!

Anyways, I really hope I can lose this time and I really need some motivation.

Hi there! Read around a bit. There's lots of good info here at 3fc. Lots of folks don't really follow a plan, as such, but come up with something that works for them and is doable with consideration for their lifestyle.

HI, I'm 5' too and my goal weight is 115. I tried to get down to 110 but found that it's just too frustrating to and too difficult to maintain. I want to loose the weight but I want the health benefits also. Do you exercise? I find that is crucial for me. I walk daily and lift weights 3 x week. Helps so much.

As for an eating plan: I think most of us know how to diet we just don't want to give up what we like. But it's what we like that's makeing us FAT! So there is no magic bullet. The answer is hard work and diet. If there was anything money could buy there would be no fat rich people. And look around, there are plenty.

I don't diet any longer, it was just making me fatter! It doesn't work for long. If you go back to eating the same way, you get the same results. I've changed the way I eat. I choose healthy food now and think about what benefit I'm getting from it. If you are just eating too big a portion you might want to measure everything for awhile. If I find i'm putting on weight it's usually that i'm not exercising enough for my portions are getting out of hand. Out comes the old measuring cups again!

The new WW program has a program called CORE that allows you to eat as much as you want but just of certain "core" food. And it's a really healthy diet too. You might want to look into that.
