New and looking for Buddy
 

Hi everyone!

My name is Megan. I am 30 years old and live in California. I started the slim fast diet today and joined my local Curves. I am hoping to loose 40 pounds. I went on the Depo shot in 2000 after having a ectopic pregnancy and gradually put on weight. Now five years later I am off the shot but gained 50 pounds!

My husband and I are Trying to conceive our third child but not having any luck this time around and I really think the weight has something to do with it. So I decided to loose the weight and get myself healthy for my future baby.

Is anyone in a similar situation? I really could use the support and would love to offer encouragement to everyone else.

Hi Megan -

I know when it comes to brith control it can be a while for your body to get use to not having it. MY girlfriend was on Depo for 5 years and it took and entire year for her period to come back after she stopped takng it.

My other friend froped 50 pounds going to curves! So good luck! I know you will do it. Be careful though, once she stoped going and resumed her "old" life she has gained it all back :(

I know what you mean about the depo I have been off of it Since January 2004 and it took 9 months to get my cycle back and regular! I am hoping to stick with Curves, but I know what you mean about gaining it back I went last year for a few months and lost a lot of weight once I stopped I did gain it all back! My main problem is my eating habbits so I hope to change that first.
