hey everyone i just joined weightwatchers again today i had joined a couple years ago and lost over 50 pounds and was so close to my goal weight but i fell off the wagon and gained it all back plus alot more!! so i decided today that im going to lose weight and stick with it this time!! Anyways im 20 years old from new jersey and i weight myself today...278 it was so hard to look at the scale and it was even harder typing it out lol but i just keep thinking that it wont be for long!! so if anyone would like to buddy up with me im all yours! :O)

I will be your buddy
I feel your pain, I started ww again last monday for the second time myself. I was on ww in 2000 and lost alot of pounds myself and gained it all back after I got married and told myself I will start it again and never did. I would like a buddy. I live in Montana and am 40 years old.
|
sounds like we are both in the same boat then! i would love to be your buddy if you dont mind i think im just going to weigh myself weekly at home to save money and keep track that way
|
I do the ww at home also, I just don't have time and money to do it down town. It works for me with my work. My husband does most of the cooking and he figures most of it for me, he is great that way. I weigh myself everyday, I know your not suposed to but I do, I think it keeps me in check.
I try and just take one day at a time and not worry about the big picture. Good luck to you today. Teri |
xlashes-I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to be buddies with you if you're interested. I'm also 20 and live somewhat close to you, in MD I think it's like 4 or so hours from NJ...anyways I hope you're interested:) I"m also doing weight watchers and so far I've lost 3.5, doesn't seem like alot but for somereason this time feels different and I feel like I'm really going to do it this time! lol it's about time though.....I think we could help each other stay accountable and all that stuff. I currently weigh myself at home and track it that way, I'm not sure if I want to join meetings or not...I can't decide b/c of the money and all....Let me know if you're interested.

Mind if I join the WW buddies here? I did WW last year and lost 21 lbs. Then did SB and lost 8. I regained the 8 and would like to start losing again. I did WW online too. I haven't got a babysitter so I can attend meetings and cost-wise, the online WW is more affordable.
I'm also from Montana too. I'm 34 and a mother of 3 girls. 3 very busy girls. LEt me know. I was on a thread for stay at home mom's but not very many people post on there and I'm one that needs accountability and friendship everyday to keep going and feel motivated. ~chris |

Daj, My girls are 11, 6 and the littlest will be 3 in August. When I did WW before, I lost...it was slow but at least I could keep track of my progress or lack of, on the internet. It was really helpful. It's the only thing I stuck to for a long period of time.
I did good yesterday. My sisters' and I took all our kids to a small place called Riverfront Park and walked around that and stayed outside for a bit...(until my nephew, Cole, fell face first into a long stretch of geese poop..EWWW!) And then last night while my 6 yr old had swimming lessons, I walked around the track for 1/2 hour and got almost 2 miles in. I have rheumatoid arthritis so I get frequent joint pains. My shoulder has been killing me for a few days now but walking seems to be an activity I can do without too much stress or strain. Gotta go. I need to run and pay some bills and maybe take the girls to the park today. ~chris |

It does come off a whole lot slower than it comes on, that is for sure. Sounds like if you walk while your girls are doing something eles can kill two birds with one stone and that is great. Keep up the great work and it will happen for the both of us. I have been keeping to my points and I walk all day long at my work. So far so good. |
daj,
Okay I did it! I renewed my WW online subscription. Now I can keep track of what I eat...and probably shock myself in the process. I wasn't going to say anything to my husband but I did. He thought it was a great idea. He's been losing weight but not from exercising or eating less...(the jerk! ). It's easier for him. HE's hypothyroid and everytime they up is meds, the weight just slides off. How sick is that! I'll check back with you later. I gotta get some stuff done around here. Like mopping the floor, folding the clothes, vacuuming...you know. The fun stuff! ~chris |
new to this
Hi am new to this site so dont know where to go. I currently am unable to make it past noon on any kind of diet. I vow everyday to keep my eating to something sensible and healthy but its all over by noon. Lost on the southbeach diet but gained that all back then a couple pounds more. Should i try ww or just try to do it on my own. I would appreciate any feedback and/or encourgement you all could give me. I am 64, work part time and havent exercised very much. I started walking but now it is a little too warm in the a.m. Hope to hear from someone soon.

Hootiekay,
I started out on WW and lost 21 lbs. and then switched to South Beach when I hit a plateau. All the weight I lost with SB came back...and fast. I just renewed my WW online account and I'm starting again fresh on Monday. I'm going to stick through it this time, even if I hit a plateau again. Have you ever tried the Walk Away The Pounds dvds. They are a great workout if you like to walk, which it sounds like you do. I feel your frustrations and all the other feelings with this. Stick to it and make little changes everyday and that weight will come off. I used to be in a thread on this site that would do daily challenges like 20 min. walks, drinking 100 oz. of water, eating 3 servings of fruit/vegetables. Kind of a neat little way to keep on track. BTW, I'm Chris. I'm 34 and a stay at home mom with rheumatoid arthritis. I know..seems kind of young for those problems already but it's an auto-immune disease that attacks the joints. Bless my mom for her genes... ;) She has it too...maybe...We'll find out her test results on the 21st. You can find me mostly on the Mom's Losing Weight thread or on Friends with RA & OA. If ya want to find me...just click on my name and scroll down to: Find more posts, etc. TTFN, and I'll check back tomorrow to see if you got a chance to read this. Welcome...I'll be looking forward to more posts from you. ~chris |

Hey newbies...
Just had to say hi. It's really late so I'll post more tomorrow. But Bunny, and XlashesX...tell us a little about yourselves. I'm thinking we should start a new group but not sure how to do it. Let me know what you all think and if you'd want to be members. ~chris |
