A time to change
I am ready to commit. I need to loose well over a hundred lbs. Weighing in this morning at 306 lbs, I have lost 12 lbs. since I decided to do what I call the common sense diet 2 weeks ago. I am a nurse I know whats healthy- I now plan to apply that knowledge -Low fat, no simple sugars, complex carbs only, high fiber, protien, portion control,and of course excercise. I have cooked a freezer full of healthy meals to take to work- no more fatty foods from the cafateria.I have gotten rid of all the junk in my house and replaced it with sensible choices, psyched myself up not to diet but to change my lifstyle, and joined the Y. My biggest problem will be the excercise. I work 4 12 hour night shifts a week and tend to sleep my days off away. I am usually tired from my hit and miss sleep pattern. I am trying to go to the Y after work since I can NEVER get up before work. I am not doing to well with that. Any support or exercize advice would be greatly appreciated.
