I am 44, 5'10". I started out at 263 and am now down to 229. But, I have been at this same weight for almost 10 months. I do credit the meetings for helping me keep it off... but I have a looooooong way to go and nothin's movin' (except the loose skin when I walk
). I need some help, if nothing else just to chat about weight loss in general. All my family and friends are skinny minnies.
I am a homemaker, after many years of being a travelling career girl. So, I have waaaaaay too much time on my hands and not enough hobbies. Any suggestions?
Would be nice to have some things to talk about... so here are my likes:
*Anything entertainment, movies, music, books, plays, tv.. etc. I'm star struck, I know it's stupid, can't help it. I'll lose the weight, then worry about my other addictions, ok?
*Home improvement... my dream is to remodel homes, then rent or sell them.. some day...
*Animals... love them cats and doggies!
*I have 3 step-children, 25-23-17. About to be a grandmother!
*Would love to take up gardening, but don't know anything about it. I have started trimming some trees though, on our much neglected new property.
That'll work for now. Anybody who would like to commiserate, please talk to me! I gained 2 lbs this morning, and going the other way is NOT an option.
I'll hush now

I too am a WW, unmotivated now for the last couple of years. YIKES! I actually started in 1998, lost 85 pounds in 10 months and have slowly put about 50 of it back on. Bless you for it only being 5 pounds for you. I kept saying what you said about the meetings keeping you from gaining for a long time. Finally, I didn't find I got anything from them but an empty wallet so I quit going last year. I have maintained for the past year so I guess I'm no worse for wear.
I'm older than you, 51. I weigh more than you. I've never been a career woman. I stayed home with my kids when they were little by doing home party plan (and being very successful). When they got older, I was elected to my local school board and served 4 years. I have been into mystery shopping and merchandising for the past 11 years.
