Stay off this time!

Hello a quick introduction. I am a 25 year old female from the wonderful great lake state. My highest weight was 197, and my lowest weight has been 158. When I was 158 I felt so good!(even for being 5'2") For the past 3 summers I have lost 20+ lbs, but then gain some or more back in the winter.

My gym membership has expired, and can't afford a new one, but I bought a jump rope, a used gazelle, and some free weights to get me started again.

I just really really want to keep it off this time, and after reading over this site for the past few days, I feel that I can do it with the support of this sight. Everyone seems so wonderful and insightful.

Peace,

Carly http://www.3fatchicks.com/weight-tra...4/125/174/.png

Hello there from Maryland! I'm 31 and married, and I am at 187 (SW = 207) and want to get down to 150. My husband bought himself a Gazelle and a weight bench and a Total Gym. I see a personal trainer at my gym for weight training and am following WW on my own. I use the Gazelle, and I also try to jog with my dogs (two collie) a few times during the week [they are so silly - they try to "herd" me every time we first start out]. I have more problems with controlling my appetite than anything else; once I get into an exercise routine, I am pretty good about staying with it.
My goal is to get in good shape by the end of the year and stay that way for at least six months, and then try to have a baby. I think it will be easier to go through pregnancy if I am fit at the start (and maybe it will also be easier to get back into shape after).
Do you have any hobbies? I love to cook (not a good hobby when trying to lose weight!) and to garden (this is good, though). Now that is it lighter out in the evenings, I can do some things outside in the yard after dinner to get me away from the table!
I lost 30 lbs. before my wedding, but did it by eating carrots and diet Pepsi for lunch and once I started eating real food again I slowly gained it all back. I really want to do it right this time, too.

Hi, I would like to lose around 70 lbs. by October. I'm going on a trip to Mexico with my beautiful (and very fit) sister, my best friend and my husband. I just don't want my vacation ruined because I'm worried about what I look like in a bathing suit :yikes: When I get back we are going to seriously try for a baby. I know my pregnancy will go much smoother if I get this weight off! I know I can do it this time!! I know we can all do it! This is a great site for motivation and venting :tantrum: when you haven't had the best day!

Hello! One of your main goals to wanting to get in shape is to have a baby?! That is wonderful, and a great reason to get in shape.

The gazelle I have, you can't really change the resistance (it's the cheaper of the few) so that is worrying me that it's really not going to do much ya know? What kind do you have?

As for hobbies, my main hobby is going to concerts, the theater, and performing! And of course spending time with my family and boyfriend, oh and reading. List goes on!

As for controlling appetite? I feel like I have no control either. I will eat really good all day, and then just cave in sometimes at night because I am just sooooooo hungry.

I always lose weight when im single, but gain it when I am invovled with someone, cause for the most part guys don't really care what they eat (and I'm talking way in general boys! I'm not saying all males)

Cheers and good luck!

Hi DewDropInn,

The Gazelle we have has adjustible resistance, but when my hudband set it on anything above the easiest level, I have a hard time using it, so I don't mess with that aspect of it. I really feel the stretch when I use it (and that is what he got it for - to help him stretch to recover from surgery on his hip).

I know what you mean about men and eating - my husband just ate a 11 oz. bag of chips in two days! At least they are out of the house and I didn't eat any of them!
