Hey hi, how ya doin, I'm the new one standing over in the corner...



  • Hi I am new, as my title implied! I am 3 weeks into a personal fitness challenge, and was looking for a forum to keep me motivated in the diet department. It seems I am either dieting OR I'm exercising, but not both.

    This is the first time I'm trying just exercise at first, as I usually start out fast and then lose motivation and get lazy. I signed up on Self mags Challenge and have consistently worked out 45-1 hr 5-6 times a week for 3 whole weeks. THAT'S A RECORD FOLKS!

    I hope to increase muscle and find my waistline some day. I am a yo yo dieter who loses and gains, and this time I'm tryin something new. To work on my body first from the inside, and let the pounds on the scale not be the deciding factor of how I feel about myself.

  • Thank you. It is very hard to avoid the scale right now, I'm programmed to look at the scale, but with the muscle i'm working on, I just don't want to get discouraged. I was told that I might not see any change on the scale, but clothes will be loose, so I'm going to do my best to avoid the scale until the 12 weeks is up.
