Another newbie says HI!

Hi. I've been lurking here for a week.... ever since my sister showed this place to me. I'm glad I found a group to be in with my sister. I feel like I'm cheating a little on my counter, I set it to show my weight when I started dieting almost 6 years ago. I havn't been too successful since then. I've been a little scared since my girlfriend had a stroke, and her husband had (another) heart attack. They're only a few years older than me. I DO NOT want to die young because I'm too fat. My children would never forgive me for letting their father pick out their clothes for the rest of their school years. Seriously, you should see the outfits he picks out.

I started at 320, now I'm at 250 and need to get to 140. My big goal in losing weight (other than staying alive) is to walk a maration for Train To End Stroke. I'd like to run.. it used to be really fun to run, but when your chest starts into double letters it just gets impractical. I went so far as to get a dog to walk with. He's 9 months old and hasn't been further away from the house than one block. I'm a bad fat dog mom. Someone please help me be a good thin dog walker who matches her kids clothes.

Hey, this is your sister. I've seen your dog. I didn't know being dragged down the street counted as exercise. Well, it's exercise for me I guess. I have to burn SOME calories when I laugh that hard.
