On Phase 2 on SBD but new to 3FC
I've been on SBD for 4 weeks now. In the first 2 1/2 weeks, while on Phase 1 I lost 12 pounds. In the past week and a half I've lost 2 more pounds. I ran across this board looking for more recipe ideas. Great community you have here!!
Little bit about me - I've always struggled with my weight. I was teased as a kid, not only by others at school, but often by my own two brothers. In high school I lost quite a bit of weight and got down to a size 10 and felt great. But then some issues in my life took over my self-control and I began what would become a pattern of "comfort eating."
About 3 years ago, I lost almost 40 pounds on WW, but I have since gained all but 10 pounds of that back. WW was great for a while, but the constant counting and meticulous meal planning got to be too much of a hassle.
Back in February I was diagnosed with insulin resistance and my OB/GYN (who diagnosed this) suggested that I try the SBD. I waited a while before taking her advice, but now I'm glad that I did!
I still have cravings, but have already begun to learn how to eat the "right" foods to satisfy those cravings. I hope to find lots of support from others on here and hope that I can lend support to others, as well!
