Hello from a newbie!
 

Hi everybody! I just joined a few seconds ago and can't wait to get started. I have about 90 pounds to lose and I'm in desperate need of some help and encouragement. I just can't do it alone! I can't tell you how glad I am that I found all of you. I'm 37 and a housewife and DH and I are trying to adopt a baby, but there are weight restrictions (if you can believe it). I only need to lose 28 pounds to meet the restriction, but I need to lose the rest for me. I found this site by accident a week ago and after skimming the forums I knew I had to join. Everyone seems so nice, and I can't wait to get to know you! There's even a smilie here that looks like me :dizzy: , it's a sign for sure!

i have at least 80+ lbs to go, and i know we can do it.

Welcome! There really are alot of nice people around here, and you can learn alot just from reading the articles posted in various stickies throughout the forums.

I never knew there was weight requirement for adoption. It doesn't sound entirely fair to me. Is the thinking that a fat adoptive parent will cause the kid to turn fat as well, or be much more likely to just keel over dead at any second? Whatever.

Hi LaughingDog ~ I also just joined earlier in the week. Looks like lots of great people and good advice. We have a similar amount of weight to lose and it would be nice to keep in contact along the journey. Good luck with your goals !!

you should definitly look into one of the support groups here on the board. lots of good ladies around :)
i'm in the same boat, having about 90ish pounds to lose myself :)
