Just a chubby trying to find her fighting weight
 

Hello there!
I am 36, married, no kids and have been on Atkins for just over a month. I have lost 15 pounds and I know that this will always be a way of life for me and that I am not going to lose this weight overnight. I am hoping to be 80 pounds lighter my Christmas.

I had lost a little weight -maybe 20 lbs-over the summer. Stopped dieting for whatever reason and figured if I am not going to diet than I should quit smoking then get on a serious diet. Well I quit and gained back almost all that I had lost--actually it is okay at least I quit. Quitting was the hardest thing I have ever done!! I figure if I can quit smoking than being on a lifetime diet should be fine.

I started this whole adventure because my brother needs a kidney --everyone in my family is diabetic except for me and I am the only one that is overweight--so I am his only hope for a living donor kidney transplant. I was told to be able to be a donor I must lose weight and quit smoking so that is where I am today!
