I'm back and really need a buddy!
Hi all!
I'm Christy. I'm 36 and a mother of a very busy 3 year old. I've been on and off this site for years and it always helps. I'm back again and hoping someone can help me stick to it for good this time! I started losing weight last in November of 2003. I had lost 80 but I've gained 20 of it back. So, now I'm at 60 pounds gone and I want to lose another 110. My son and I have gone through alot in the last year, complete with a divorce, but now I want my life back on track. I want to be around to watch my son grow up. I have been following a low carb diet, which seems to work best for me, and working out. I just need the motivation to keep doing it. I work in an office full time where there is always food, and I sit all day long. I work long hours and by the time I get home and take care of things here I'm tired! I need a boost to get me exercising! I would love to have someone to talk to who is in a similar situation. Are you out there????? :) |

I'll buddy up with you......I'm not very motivated some days either when I get home from work.....I joined CURVES almost 2 yrs. ago and I keep telling myself how much better I feel when I go and exercise...Take for example the other nite, I didn't feel like stopping so I told myself that I would come home and walk my treadmill......well intentions were there; so I walked into the house, put my coat on the back of the chair and immediately headed downstairs right past the computer. Plugged in the treadmill, then paused it and went over and turned on the tv, went back to the treadmill and paused it again cause I didn't like the program that was on and never thought to bring the remote with me.....went back to the treadmill and decided I had had enough...turned it off and went upstairs and sat down and watched my taped programs.....time spent on the treadmill...not even 5 minutes......Today I weighed in and am so down on myself cause I gained 2 lbs.......know what I did wrong but went ahead and have been bingeing all day.......so if you keep me "outta trouble" I'll try and help you....isn't it funny, we find time to sit down at the computer, but not to exercise......I'll bet we have the skinniest fingers from all the typing!!!!!! So, what's your plan of attack for the coming week....I find that it helps me to get a plan ahead of time of what I want to accomplish that week.......I'm gonna try and stay on program and to get to CURVES at least 3X this week...... |
