NutriSystem Anyone?

I am signing up for NutriSystem again, 15 plus years after I succssfully took off 50+ pounds and kept it off for about 4 years plus.

With our hectic schedule right now, I feel I can use the System to reduce stress on myself and to get back my portion control.

The first time I did NS, I got to my goal and stayed there for almost 3 years, then as I was creaping up 12 pounds, I joined WW and lost those 12 pounds, got to goal again and used WW for maintenance for a long time until I became romantically involved with someone, stopped the gym and started eating out a lot.

Well, now the romance is still there and I would like to be more the size I was when we first started dating, though we first met in high school and I know I am not going to get to 122 again in this lifetime.

I have gotten back into the gym routine, hitting the weights or cardio 3 times a week, with my goal to make that 5-6 times a week.

Water isn't an issue, I really think it is the food anxiety.

So if anyone else is here and doing NS and wants to keep on track together, I figure my food arrives sometime next week and I will be back from the long weekend and ready to start so PM me.

Ns

I have considered NS in the past also. I have 3 kids and a husband, so 4 in total. So, sometimes it is difficult to be able to eat whatever they are not eating. How much is NS per month, how many lbs are you able to lose per month. I am not sure if I would like to invest in NS if it will not work. I work from home so the money is an issue for me right now.

NutriSystem

I have been using Nutri-System for about two months now and have lost 34 pounds. I really like the food and hope to stay on NS even during maintenance. I do not however, add all the "extras" that they tell you to add on in their diet plan, because when I did, I wasn't losing any weight. I eat strictly what they give you and that's it.

DANICIMA - I hear you about the cost too. Though in our case, since we are all on different schedules anyway, I actually think I am going to come out even if not ahead, especially if I have the success I had before. I really need to get into the portion control mindset that I have lost. I am on the autoship option so the cost if 279 per month and NS pays the shipping. After a certain # and I can't remember what that number is at the moment, the discount for autoship increases from 10% to 15%. The website is pretty easy to get info from.

KITEEN - 34 pounds sounds like good work. In fact excellant work. When you mention extras do you mean the fresh veggies and fruit and yogurt or do you mean the NS vitamins? I plan to finish off my Central Carb Assist vitamins and go back to the regular Centrums along with my calcium supplements.

Are you at the gym? I know that is going to be my biggest motivation to keep on track is to keep at the gym. I can pretty much get into the mindset on the food I think as I plan to eat out of the box only, like last time. This time will be different, I will keep up the exercise and stay on top of any weight gain.

Just got back from shopping, serious success since I went alone and had no "help" from DD or DH.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone. Hope it has more flowers, cd's, cards and such than candy.

We started the day at DD's class reviewing her work. She was so ambitious this year and made all of her cards from scratch and printed her messages in each card. I do say that towards the end of the class she was fading but she did a lovely job.

I am going to lunch with DH who is taking the day off from work, he wants chinese and I can stay on track with that. He isn't working on the road so much and while it is less stress on him overall, I remember fondly the days he would be in town and we would meet for lunch at least once every other week.

Dinner tonight, at home, the restaurants are just too nuts, plus it is a school night.

Missed the gym this morning, going to try to make up that later today with some walking.

According to the tracker, my food arrives tomorrow. I am starting NS on the 22nd, after we get back from our long weekend. I just don't want to get into discussions about it with family and friends. My nephew, 6 YOs stayed overnight, he was telling me I should exercise more, obviously conversation he has heard at home, my brother the fitness freak, eats plain yogurt and fruit for breakfast and won't let his kids eat candy. They come to my house and eat DD's instead. Anyway, we are the opposite ends of moderation I think.

Liza,

I have lost 4 lbs on the last two weeks, mostly eating protein shakes and salad. I also gave up the whites. I am going to try the NS next month if I don't accomplish my goal by my middle son's bday in early March. After that I will reevaluate and consider to completely remove from the household meals. Keep me posted!

Need to know the ins and outs of Nutrisystem. Purchased mine from Ebay (the food) but there was no info on what I can and can't eat and drink besides the Nutrisystem Food!
