New here... need a buddy for Thyroid Diet
 

Hi I am a SAHM of 3 kids... I am starting the Thryoid Diet tomorrow... I believe it is similar to South Beach. I had done Atkins for a year last year and lost 70 lbs but gained 20 back real fast....hoping to find a buddy who is doing a similar diet and can help me get going... I have the book, but looking for a buddy to support me as well as I can give support and encouragement back to.

I never heard of it what's it about?

I read about it on the Lowcarbfriends BB... it is a diet of low carb, low calorie and low glycemic foods and supplements to help people with Hypothyroid to boost metabolism, lose weight and feel better. I am hoping it works...It is alot like the South Beach diet..have you heard of that? Lots of veggies, lean protein, whole grains, and some fruit. Very well balanced in my opinion. I am hoping to just be healthier and have a more healthy and better working Thyroid.....if I lose weight and get in shape at the same time... then that is just a bonus in my book.
There is a book about it... I got mine for 8 dollars on Iherb.com... it is written by Mary Shamon and it is called THE THYROID DIET>
