Need a WeightWatcher Buddy
I am 38 years old, mother of 3 and live in Birmingham, Alabama and started Weight Watchers today. I would like to have a buddy currently on WW so that we can help motivate each other and support each other when we are not doing so great. I need to lose 60 lbs. :)

I am also doing WW i would be happy to be your buddy. You can pm anytime you want. I have a lot of weight to lose, but I'm determined that I am going to do it. I'm 31 year old single mother with 2 childern. Good luck on your plan! Are you doing core or flex points?

hello..I am 30, mom to 3( all girls aged: 8,7, and 5) They are very active -- I am not! and live in Florida. I just went back on WW and have 45 pounds to shed! Hope to hear form you soon.

Hello...I am 29 (almost 30...will be in April), mom to 2 boys (ages 4 and 18 months) and I am in Wisconsin. I am on program and have a ways to go, but it will get there-50+ to go. Just remember to take it in steps and don't think of the entire amount, but work towards a bunch of smaller goals....it makes it easier.

Hello Rachel-- I think we are all in this together, the more support -the better. I am excited to get motivated. just got home , tow of the girls are feelinga little under the weather. the dance studio whetre the girls' go (my oldest takes a lot of classes-so you will most likely hear me talk of tis place often..haha) well, the mom's gte to dance free. I never have taken classes but the offer ballet, tap, jazz flamenco, pilates and yoga to the moms. I am considering a pilates class...I really want to be on my way to success. I haven't actually gone back to my first WW meeting yet, but will probably do so this week. I dug out my food points book, points calculater and I am ready...

Welcome aboard Christine....I think we all can do this together. I signed up for a rec class for the next 6 weeks that starts on tues so we'll see how that goes.
The classes at the dance studio sound promising. I know my nieces love their studio that they go to for dance and if they offered those kinds of classes, I'm sure that my sister-in-laws' and I would check them out. Good luck and keep us posted! |
Hello. I am just ahving one of those days where i am feeling very heavy. I attempted sit-ups ( I did 15) I suppose I am beating myself up feeling like I can not do this...but I know I will be able to. It's like before I even finish eating , I am feeling full, so I wonder is it taht i am so used to overeating? I'll be okay, I think it's a combination of being tired as well. But just having a yucky feeling day.

I'm trying to lose around 60 pounds, as well.
I'm a SAHM to 5 kids in Ohio. My little one can go in the gym day care at 6 months, so in 2 months I'll be going there 3 times a week. In the meantime, it's just me and my treadmill. :dizzy: I just started, officially, yesterday. |

That's great that you have the treadmill. You just had a baby, do don't be too hard on yourself. It takes time... (My youngest is 5...hehe) The gym will be great. I am learning to keep my eye on my goals.. this week I slipped a few times but am feeling more confident about the big picture, It's the only way to acheive my ultimate success. Hi All !! I am a 31 year old married female, no kids....I have been doing WW since last Jan 2004, to date I have lost over 50 pounds...if you stick with the program you will lose weight!! Good luck to you all !!!

Satine-- Hello and Welcome. It's great to hear fom someone who the program has worked for. I have only been on a week and am "getting used to" changing lots of my habits and behaviors. WHat was your secret?? ANy suggestions? Water and exercise are key, I am thinking!!

Christine - Hi, honestly ( and I know this sounds horrible ) but I have lost all of that weight without exercising...the problem now though, as I am trying to lose the last bit, is that the weight is coming off slower and slower and I need to start exercising, I have a treadmill just need to use it. Here are a few things I do:
1 ) I always stay under my points by about two ( if for day I could have 27 then I had no more than 25 ) , also I do not use Flexpoints although alot of people do and have no problem. 2 ) I ALWAYS eat breakfast. 3 ) I always drink at least 72 oz of water or more 4 ) I try not to eat sweets, they make me want to eat alot more ... 5 ) I allow myself a cheat day here and there ( maybe once a month or month and a half ), otherwise I will go nuts :lol: 6 ) I try to go to the grocery store once or twice a week, if I do not have variety I will not stick to plan. Hope some of this helps...let me know if you have any questions...I am not an expert but will be willing to help if I can. Also the WW section of this website has alot of helpful people on it. Hi Carrie, Tahkns for the great advice. i have to look inot the WW posts. I haven't come across them yet.
I have not had a full week yet where I have stuck to plan but, I'm working hard (going on three days). I have increased water (not enough though) I try to not have soda but have been guilty of a diet here or there. But NOw it's 10p.m. and I have 10 points left so, I have to find sometihng to eat now...and its so late. The not eating snacks at all is a great tip becasue I just want to keep eating after I do. I appreciate all of your great advise. I will get there. Good luck with the exercise. I am going to start taking a karate class next week and I want to start with my Tae-Bo tapes 2x per week. Hi lizzibird. Welcome and best of luck to you. Taht is quite an accomplishment, 40 pounds whew!! My weigh ins are Thursday and I just started last week, so we could be support for one another. Keep it up and do your best. you can not expect anymore out of your self than that! Enjoy your precious baby. Hope to hear form you soon./
