Welcome Amy,
We need more info, what type of workouts are you doing? What are you eating? Maybe some one will see something that can help. |
Well, I posted in more detail on the General forum for weight loss. But, I do spinning for an hour 3x a week, I do strength training at home 3-4x a week and I try to fit in a 20 min pilates at least 3x per week(the days I don't go to spin) I also do ab work 4-5x a week. I keep my calories at 1200-1500 a day. I eat more on the days I work out. I have about 5 1/2 weeks until we leave and would LOVE to get these last 10 lbs off. BTW, I'm 5'2". I was about 110 when I got married 8 years ago and realistically will never get back down to that(don't want to either) but would love to get to 120 and may settle for 125  135 is the lowest I've been in years, do you think my body is just "used" to that weight? I want it to let go  Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

This is tough not knowing you, all looks good. You seem to have everything down, how do you look? Are you do to up your weights? We may need to turn to the Maintenance Group for getting off the last few pounds.

I do 8 lb weights here at home. I'm in a size 8-10 and have an hourglass figure. Broadish shoulders, small waist, wide hips...With my weights, I've just started doing the strenght training about a week ago and am up to 2 sets of 12. I don't know, maybe I'm just being impatient. Dh says he can tell I'm losing, but I can't and I want these last 10 off  I'll go check the maintenance board and see what I can find. Thank you for responding to me though.

Amy, maybe your body is just used to your routine and you should mix it up a bit. You could try eating at different times in the day than your used to, or if you don't eat breakfast, or a snack, try adding one while still staying in the same calorie range. Your metabolism may just need a shock. If you've just started strength training, you might just be building muscle as you lose the fat and since muscle weighs more than fat, it might be a while before you see the loss on the scales. You should still be losing inches though. Good luck.
