Looking for a buddy

Hello, my name is Amanda and I live in Peoria, Illinois. I am desperatly wanting to lose 70lbs this year. I think I want to do it by trying to eat healthier, watch calories and exercise. I know I could use somebody to talk with and help keep me on track. And I would love to help someone else out too. I am a 26 year old stay at hom mother of three. If you are interested let me know.

Hi, I just started two weeks ago and want to lose about 40 pounds. I am 31 years old and have one son. I have been following South Beach diet.

Hi! We just revamped our kitchen and are eating healthier (not following and specific diet). I have lost about 20 pounds on my own, and I have about 50 pounds left to go. I'm a 36-year-old stay-at-home mom of 3 young ones too. I'd love to keep in touch with both of you (either post here or email?).

Thanks for the replies. Great job so far Angie. How old are your little ones, mine are 3, 2 and 4 months. I am down 25lbs from my prepregnancy weight but am still looking to do more. I attended a weight loss class last year while I was pregnant and learned about balance eating and watching calories. When it comes down to it weight loss rests on burnign more calories than you consume, so that is what I am planning to do. Lets keep in touch and help each other through this journey. :D

Mine are 5, 4, and my youngest just turned 1. I basically decided that no food is "off limits", because I don't do well when I restrict myself that much. I filled my kitchen with lots of fruits and veggies, and anything bread-like is whole wheat only....it seems to be working, and my kids like the 'new' stuff I'm making :) I certainly agree about the burning more calories than taking in!

Kristina, First of all congratulations on the 15lbs you've lost so far. That is great. I am trying really hard this time to focus on the accomplishments and not dwell on what still needs to be done. My first two kids are 14 months apart as well, so I know what its like to have a 2yr old and a 10month old. They are a lot of fun. I also am watching two of my friends kids in the morning, one is almost three and the other one is two months. So in my house I have a 3 and a half year old, an almost three year old, a 2 year old a 4 month old and 2 month old. Needless to say I stay pretty busy. But I enjoy it. I hope to talk to you later.

Amanda,
With all those kids in your house you are getting exercise.haha. I went to weight watchers last night and only lost .2lbs again. Today I am going to try to eat frozen dinners for lunch and supper. It helps me track my points better. Good luck staying on track today.

Kristina,

At least you lost, that is the important thing. I haven't been great today about my diet, but I haven't blown it either. I am trying to eat three meals and three snacks a day so that I don't get too hungry and then eat way too much of somethign bad. So far it has been working pretty well. I had gestational diabetes with my last pregnancy and that is the diet they put me on. I actually lost 10lbs the last couple months of my pregnancy, but felt like I was eating all day. I didn't get out to the garage this morning to work out but was out there yesterday and plan on getting up and going out there tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Amanda
