Welcome. If I did not know better I would think you were talking about me. I also started my weight loss plan today. My 8 yo DD is also overweight and she started her weight loss plan today also. She is following the Trim Kids program. I hope you have much success on your weight loss.

Hello!
I'm also just starting (starting over, that is) today. I'm a 47 year old mother of two. Both of my boys are in pretty good shape because of how active they are but hubby and I are a different story. I've tried countless diets and lost weight on most. Unfortunately, I also regained it. I'm looking to do it right this time and since I have lots of weight to lose, I would love the support of other working moms trying to feed their families healthier meals. Best wishes and much success to each of you!
Laura

Getting started again yesterday, actually. Weighed in at 228 and am heartened to see some big losers to be ready to give it the last (and forever successful) shot. I am 30 no kids and a relative newlywed (Aug 03). In the last couple of years I planned a wedding, took over a company, and built a house. This is my project for this year. The marriage, company and house are still standing, so I guess there's some hope.

I also started my fourth diet today. I weigh 37 pounds more than I did the last time I started. I hope if I change my attitude and forget the diet and just eat healthily it may stick this time. I also have my own business and all of the stress associated with it. I am curious that you say you took over a business. Sounds exciting. Are you a stress eater? I never seem to have time to plan meals correctly. Hope we can help each other.

I am new here too. I started today and will lose lots of weight. I am a new woman as of today.

Hi all,
Moon puppy, what a beautiful baby! And a great reason to make changes in your weight and health.
What is everyone doing to lose weight? What about exercise? I like Linda's attitude! Forget the "diet" and just eat healthier. I'm really making an effort to eat more fruits and vegetables - something I don't do very well. I'm also walking every morning, something else I really need to do. What about everyone else?
If anyone has some really great ideas to get us through this, please share! I can't tell you how many times I've started a new diet and quit or started, lost weight, and then gained it all back...
Best to each of you!
Laura

Hi everyone, I'm Jenn and i'm 26. I am a mom of 2 girls, the oldest is 6 and my youngest will be a year old in Feb. I started the South Beach 4 days ago and I'm already down 5 lbs. As far as you that have young children overweight, my 6 year old is overweight by about 20 lbs, I called her doctor and they said the south beach diet would be fine for her to do since it focuses on the healthy cards and healthy fats, and she's lost 2 lbs. Good luck to all of you!
