A newbie here...beam me up?
 

Hi. I just found 3FC tonight while surfing the internet for some moral support. I'm not new to the dieting scene (been there, done that....multiple times!). But, I want to make this year my last diet run. After spending the holidays psyching myself up (and discarding all tempations), I started my new adventure yesterday at the crack of the New Year and have had two succesful days. I am determined. I'm a 43 yr. old Ohioan, a mom/wife...."home executive" type. I'd like to join a group...or if anyone would like to link arms with me, that would be great! :^:

Hello Sweetpea. Welcome. I have the same idea to make this my last diet and finally loose all the weight I have been trying to for 6 years now. I am psyched and trying to stay on my diet this time. It's been a week now so I guess I am doing good. I normally can last 2 weeks and then I start to go off it.

Hi Ashlie. Thanks for answering. My, you are brave starting beFORE New Year's! Bravo! Sensibly, I'd like to lose about 40 pounds....agressively, I could lose up to 65, but I haven't seen that weight since 1979! I was halfway there in 2003, but got horribly lazy and up the scale I went. I also have a fitness goal of improving my flexibilty and inner core strength and balance. My ULTIMATE goal is to run a 5K. Right now I'm happy with a 55min 3 mile walk! Again, thanks for writing.

Sweetpea, you are in luck!!! I've only been a member of 3fatchicks.com for one day and have found so many wonderful and supportive people! They're all amazing, and the anecdotes and advice they have is phenomenal. I can't wait to get back to work to tell everyone about this site.
