Just starting the South Beach Diet and looking for a buddy to share experiences with.
Hi, My name is Drea and I am from the Detroit Area. I am 24 years old and have been fighting a weight problem since I was a pre-teen. I was 330 lbs. a few years ago but dropped it down to 220. After going from a size 28 to a 14 I allowed myself some indulgence, and though it has taken a while to creep back up I am tipping the scales at 246! My pants are too tight, and I'm no longer as happy as I was.
My mom recently started the South Beach Diet and has had great results, losing 20 lbs in less than two months. Encouraged, by the fact that a woman who has absolutely no will power has been succeeding on this diet, I picked up a copy of the book. I waited til yesterday to start it, and enjoyed my Thanksgiving. Now I am Gung-ho. I love to cook and experiment in the kitchen, and love that that is possible on this plan.
If there is anyone who would like to lose with me and share ideas and experiences I would love to hear from you.
