Default Getting out before its too late!

Hi, Im a newbie ^_^ . I am looking for some support ;_; ... I feel so young at the age of 21- but don't judge me by my age. Anyways. Im not horribly overweight, and some people may think im silly for worrying, but I believe I have good reason to. Im got very nervous last month when I stepped onto the scale at 160. Not because thats too much, but for the fact that I got there from 130 in half a year. I had realised I need a change in my life. Im not exactly sure how to get things going, so thats why Im here for help. I've taken myself out of my home and Ive moved in with my sister inlaw (a pilates instructer- a plus I guess). I thought this might help change my ways, I guess it did a little. But I still see no headway. Im still lazy as ever and ot doing anything. I've finally resorted to a diet pill... I dont like the idea, but if it gives me a boost im willing to take it, just a little bit (knowing me I think Ill probably stop after the first week anyway).

Most of my family is over weight, and I know my mother keeps talking down to me since Ive been putting it on...

Im serisouly looking for some help, support or whatever. If you wanna contact me my aim is xithilx

HI! I'm new too Welcome

I have two kids (I'm 24) I've been 80 lbs overweight for the past year and finally decided to do something about it. The hardest part was to get off my lazy arse and get into action.

Just last tuesday I started my diet (you can view my results on my webpage). I started cutting out the high fat stuff and eating healthier. I also started getting more active. I walk at least 30 minutes a day now (combined with a 20 - 30 minute workout for my abs/back/arms).

The plus side is that my fiancee is working right with me. It really does help that you have someone who knows about fitness (He used to be a body builder/wrestler who got lazy after he met me lol). So I believe living with your sister is awesome. She may even have some good tips on getting fit slowly (starting off slow and working your way up).

I now enjoy my workouts, especially if i'm in an overly foul mood LOL.

I decided im not going tot ake the pill (after a little bit of reading).

My sisterinlaw...well... shes not too..well, She doesnt know too much about health and iftness (weird huh) shes more *Imma pilates Freak and im obsessed so i teach it too* kind of person, heh. Thats why I came here. Also her husband, My brother, is over 300lbs. I wish there was a way he and I could get active in doing something. He used to play hockey and was very fit those years...but after he went to college he got depressed after not getting on the hockey team, so he gave up. We play volleyball every wednesday... but I dont quite think thats a workout for a week.

I just started an all natural pill yesterday called CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid). It's made from Safflower Oil. When taken with regular exercise and dieting, it can really help fight excess fat, and also help you from NOT getting fat again.

It's one of the biggest crazes right now. The worse side-effect - loose stools for a little while. Oil can be a natural laxative for some people.

Volleyball is a great workout, maybe play it more often? Swimming is also an EXCELLENT workout. Not only does it work all the muscles in your body, but you don't get all hot and sweaty

Hello Luna and welcome. Honey no one will look down on you because of your age or your weight, weight has no age, race, or age barriers, it affects us all no matter who we are. Your mom does not have the right to talk down to you because you are putting on weight! We are not dumb, we know what we see on the scale, we know what size we have to buy, we know how out of shape we are in and we don't need anyone pointing it out to us. You may want to let her know that even though you love her you would appreciate her not judging her you about your weight. DOn't they realize that it makes us feel more low? You might want to read an awesome book called The Thin Books. Awesome for boosting self esteem. Good Luck and God Bless.
