New here

Hi everyone- my 18 year old sister recomended this site to me for its fast food/restaurant nutrition info, and I've spent the last few days looking around and I'm totally impressed!

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I'm Molly, 26 years old, living in Rochester NY. I'm the Communications Director for a local arts non-profit.

I've dieting and exersizing (on this go-round, at least) for about 2 years. I'm not following any formalized plan- I try to limit my calories to about 1500 per day, and get 45 minutes on aerobic activity 4 or 5 days a week. Lately, I've been trying to get more fiber into my diet. At this point I'm down about 30 pounds and would like to lose another 25. I'm 5' 2" and currently 152#.

I was *much* heavier as a teenager, and I'm still not really comfortable talking about my weight or dieting, so maybe this community will help bring me out of my shell :) I'm hoping to meet some new friends here and get (and give) support and motivation.

So... hi!

Hello and Welcome. I am also new. I joined because I am needing some motivation, support and help on dropping my last 15-20 lbs. :crossed: I know that may not seem like much, but for me it is. I am currently at 140 and would like to get to 120 and firm up. Any suggestions, stories, tips ect are welcomed by anyone. Anyways, hi and have a great day...

Hi gals -- I, too, am new to this site. I have lost 10 of the 50 lbs I am working on losing. I have been following the WW plan at home on my own for the last 5 weeks. I am very motivated but am always happy to have more diet buddies to chat with for encouragement.

On the "firming up" front, I have had great success thus far with TamiLee Webb's "I Want That Body!" DVD. It is a great value because it contains three workouts (abs, arms and buns) at two skill levels each. So even once you master level 1, it's not like the DVD is worthless, because you can move on to level 2!

I find the level 1 arms workout to be SO much easier than the level 1 abs or buns workouts, but then I guess that's because I have used and worked out my arms more! The abs program is a killer and I'm just now getting to where I can get through it without having to stop for more than a few seconds. The buns program is a killer too...moreso on the knees than anything. It involves a LOT of lunges, so I do that one less than the others, but boy do you feel it the next day!!!

Hi all, Im new here too. I joined the site for support and to find some ideas that I havent either heard of, or tried and failed. So far Im loving it. I have about 50 pounds to lose though. I have the Slim in 6 DVDs, the Walk Away the Pounds DVDs, the Windsor Pilates DVDs.. lol.. mostly all my moms. But I do one everyday. Its more fun to be able to change it up and do something different everyday!

Welcome to all of you!

I joined this site a couple of years ago and have found a lot of encouragement, support and ideas from all of the great people here.

I am trying to tone up too- I have the Windsor Pilates dvds which I really enjoy doing and they have really helped me so far.
