Just joined...hoping for inspiration!
Hi! I am a woman, early 40's, with a history of being overweight...not terribly, around 30 lbs, until I began trying to become pregnant. Infertility, miscarriages, fertility drugs and a devasting stillbirth at term led to a lot of stress eating. I ate my way to 150 lbs overweight. Happily though, with determination and perserverance I now have two healthy children!
I am currently doing Weight Watchers (for the millionth time...!) and have been on program since April and also exercising at a Curves-like facility...doing well, feeling good...but the journey is long and slow - I need to lose about 100. I already took off 60 pounds after the birth of my 2nd child around 3 years ago, but did a bit of a backslide and gained back 22. I know this is the healthy way, but sometimes it is frustrating. I need to stay focused and motivated - any suggestions from those who have "been there, done that" successfully? |
