Hi - I'm new - Seeking a buddy

Hello - Okay so I'm new. This is my first time trying anything like this so here goes. :)

My name is Martina. I'm 25, mother of a 3 year old and I'm in the middle of a divorce. I've been overweight my whole life but it really didn't bother me all that much until recently. I'm not one of those people who has tried and failed on every diet out there. I have tried to diet/exercise a few times before. I'd stick to it for 1 or 2 days and then just forget it. I so lack of motivation. :( But that's why I'm here.

One thing I am actually very proud of myself for doing... :)
2 weeks ago I made a promise to myself that I will try again and this time I will stick to it. I cut my daily food intake way down and I've started to exercises for at least 30 minutes a day. I know 30 minutes doesn't sound like much but at least I've actually stuck to it this time. Exercising every day for 2 weeks is a lot for me. And I don't want to stop. I feel so much better about myself. BUT I'm getting frustrated because I'm not seeing any changes yet. I'm just looking for someone to keep me motivated. I'd love to hear from anyone who can help me out.

Thanks :) and good luck to all of you.

Chin up magorie, it's believed it takes 3 weeks to make a habit and up to 5-6 weeks for someone to see changes reflected on their body based on food & exercise. Hang in there, the changes will come :)

Hi Magorie, things will get easier trust me. I too have been where u are. I am 26 years old almost 27 and I have been at this for almost 2 years. It takes some getting used of. I exercise about 3-4 times a week because I enjoy it, if I dint I wouldnt stick to it. Try a variety and mix it up so u dont get bored. I am not on any type of diet, I just cut back that's all. I am trying to loose this last 24 pounds and it doesnt want to go away. I will succeed though. Just keep your head up, u will too. I love talking to people who are trying to live there life in a healthier way.
