Back To WW

Oh, the diet road I've travelled! In a nutshell, went to WW last July, lost 20#, got sick of restrictions, crossedover to Atkins.....lost and gained, lost and gained. Back to WW where I have had some permanent success. Hope to be able to stay the course. I've omitted about 35 years of diet flip flopping but you get the picture :)

I am back to ww tomorrow. Lost 50 last year gained most of it back. Not happy with myself. But I am ready to try again.

Tonight I am going to plan my meals and really work on getting this off once and for all.

Here I go again 04-07-2004 12:54 PM

Hi everyone:

I have just returned to weight watcher's on Monday. I too have tried it all. I lost about 40 lbs on WW, gained most of it back, tried a low carb similar to Atkins, lost 50 but am really sick of not having cereal, bread, yogurt and stuff that I like.

I was starting to put back some of the weight so I thought I'd go back to the tried and true WW plan. It is a little different that before (Max 4 g fibre and flex points) but basically the same. So far, so good, because I am eating fruit, etc and so that feels like a treat to me. I'm sure the challenges will come once the novelty wears off.

I have been as high as 250 and weighed in at just over 200, so I am starting from a little smaller position than I did the first time around.

I hope that we can support one another when the going gets a little rougher.

Here I go Again (and for the last time, I hope)

sounds like lots of you are doing good with the WW.
I was wondering, do you have to actually go to meetings and weigh yourself in front of people, or is this just a book you get, and follow? or is WW on line like Dr. Phil has books and TV shows and is also on line..

Elizabeth,
First of all Congrats on the first step! Going back....admitting defeat of any sort sucks! But, you are going to do this time and think of how good you are going to feel to be back on track with a stable diet plan and the weight WILL come off!
Good For You! And stick with it!

And try to source into why you felt deprived the last time that you were on WW. As far as I know there isn't much that you can't have as long as you stay within the points. Sometime remembering that tomorrow is another day is a nice thought. Well I want it today or now however I am out of points but, tomorrow I start fresh with points and if I STILL want it then...well then I will have. That is always a good approach. I have done that and then the following day I am like....ahhhh too many points... and then I make a better choice.

Hang in there!
And Good Luck!
MQ

MQ-Thanks for the tip you know I never thought of that. I will start doing that waiting and seeing the next day if I want it when I start over fresh with points.

I don't like to spend a lot of points on one thing.

Hi everyone,
I also just joined WW. Well, i should say rejoined. This time I am really serious about it. I have about 50-60 lbs. to lose. I have tried so many other diets but I like the idea that I can still eat the foods I love. Gosh, I sound like a spokesperson for WW already.

Hey Party,

I don't usually post here. I actually just posted on a WW thread. I had an old booklet and point finder from 2 yrs ago. I just picked it up and started using it again. I never found the meeting to be a good time where I could sit thru them and the weigh ins are semi-private. You are in a line of people, but only the person weighing you can see how much. Then she writes it down so it can be confidential. I also can't afford to spend $13 a week. I'd rather put that into groceries that I need. And it bothers me so much to pay that much to get weighed in that I get so upset :?: when I don't lose that I end up binging. So I am trying to stick to the points. Ask around, alot of people hold onto their old WW stuff.

good luck!
