Angry 44 pounds down in 5.5 months, need to exercise!

So, I use fitday.com
http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/PublicJ...Owner=keziah23

I am on a low calorie diet my BF and i made up, he has lost 70 pounds.
I started off at 242 and a size 22 in clothes
I put on a size 16 dress last night at 198lbs.
I know I have to start exercising but can't figure out how to motivate myself, I had gallbladder surgery three weeks ago and am still sore...

Have you tried walking. It's very low stress and it works! Otherwise I would wait until you're completely healed from your surgery. You don't want to risk an injury. Also, congratulations on your progress!

I eat an average of 1300-1400 calories a day with less than 30% being from fat. My averages for the past month are:
1260 calories/day
28% from fat
54% from carbs
18% from protien

My average weight loss has been 1.87 pounds per week.

We have a "cheat day" once a month where we eat whatever we want and don't count calories that day, it helps not get off track, and you can't undo in one day what you do good all week.

If there is something I want to eat I'll "save up" my calories for it.

I try to walk the long way whereever I go and take the stairs to my office (2nd floor).

The most important things for us have been conveince foods that are low-moderate in calories, getting all the "bad" stuff out of the house and finding foods you can eat in large quanities.

Check my fitday to see what it is I normally eat in a day. I eat a lot of fruit and melba toast, which I love. My bf eats sugar free jello, smart pop 94% fat free popcorn, sugar free, fat free jello, fat free fudge pops, i love edy's whole fruit bars for a sweet. I also eat breakfast every day without fail, for me its a slimfast bar, but anything filling around 200-300 cal would do.
I also gave up soda, I used to drink several sodas a day, now all I drink is water, coffee (black) and hot tea. I also like sugar free red bull for a little kick now and again.

I'd be happy to share my "knowledge" such as it is with anyone.

Kristi
