Just joined and need a buddy

Hello, I just joined and am looking for any advice and support I can get. I'm trying to lose the 30 pounds I've gained in the last 5 years. I'm not sure if I can do this. :?:

dinamichele, Hello! I know how you feel. I have also gained 30 pounds in the last few years. It seems overwhelming when I think of losing that total amount. I am disappointed in letting myself gain the weight :( . We can lose it though!! Let's take it one step at a time and set some small goals. Getting back in control of things is important I think. I am doing Weight Watchers. I really like the flexibility of the program, because there are no forbidden foods. I do not do well with severe carbohydrate restrictions and diets like that. I hope things go well for you!!

Hi Dinamichele,

You can do it! It may take a little trial and error to find out what works best for you, but you will. :) Have you ever tried to lose weight before?

Lisa Girl, thanks for the encouragement! Connie, the answer to your question is yes. I am in my early 30's and have pretty much done nothing but pack on the pounds in the last 5 years. In my early 20's after having my daughter I lost the baby weight relatively easy. I started working out regularly and eating healthy, calorie controlled meals. No big deal then but, alas, my metabolism has shifted in 10 years! I have to say that it is more difficult this go around. Thanks again and good luck to all!
