New guy here
Hi Everyone,
I have been searching for an active diet forum. I been on FB searching for support and it hasn't helped. I started back in Jan 2021 and got serious about dieting. I started calorie counting, eliminating a lot of trigger foods, and working to stay busy (not just walking but busy around the house). I lost 50 lbs to get down to 255lbs. Halloween candy happened, followed by thanksgiving and christmas eating and I put on 17lbs back on. The cold weather doesn't help. I eat a finite list of foods and it keeps me on track. The more I vary it, the more problems I have. No pizza, no pasta, no breads. Oatmeal with pineapple and brown sugar, Chili with beans, rice&beans, Salad with breaded chicken. (I do most of the cooking and everyone eats the breaded checken), granola bars with peanut butter, fruit. Sometimes I throw in steak, a burger (either half bun or no bun), or fish (but i try to cut back on tarter sauce). Usually there is no such thing as a bite of pizza, spoonful of ice cream or one potato chip, its all or nothing. I don't think of it as a rutt but more like a groove. I am not sure yet how to use this site but I'm hoping to share the motivation to stay on track. I'm 6'2 and the goal is 220lbs. also my goal for this year is to cut back on swearing and being more positive (my kids have picked up on my bad habits) Any motivation and positive messages are always welcome.
