Disappointed in myself

  • Hello I’m new here. I am about to embark on a new diet. I am thinking about doing nustristystem or something along those lines just to try something new. Last year at this time I was 10 pounds lighter. I’ve really blown up in weight quickly during this Covid season. Too much time at home and I’m stressing about the school year for my littles. I was 7 pounds away from my goal weight before I started stress eating and I’m really sad. I am hoping I can drop my weight by Christmas. 🤞 i would love to hear stories from others on what has made them successful.
  • Hi Glass, I have been dieting for 40 years. I have had the most success with low carbing in various forms. Each time I do it, I have to be a little stricter than the time before for it to work. I think the biggest thing is to choose a WOE (way of eating) you can live with long term, so think about that when choosing a plan -- this is a LIFE CHOICE. For me it was Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution. And you have to adopt it as a LIFE CHANGE not a temporary thing or the loss will never stick. I had lost 112 pounds on Atkins DANDR and then life blew up and I lost focus. I regained 65 pounds. I am now back down 55 of that 65 pounds. I walk 2-3 miles 6 x a week and lift weights 5-6 times a week (not light weights either) I am 60 years old and I can tell you it gets WAY harder as you age and yoyo. For you, I am betting that turning the stress eating into stress exercising and walking would be helpful. Physical fatigue beats the stress out of you. Start slow and work up.
