New and looking for others going through same thing.
Forums is one thing I have not tried with dieting. I have struggled with weight loss for over 18 years. My most successful was from 2002 to 2003 when I did Atkins. Anyone who has done that diet knows that when you go off of it you gain it all back and then some. Since then my weight goes up and down up and down. I know that watching the calories and the foods I eat is the best approach to lose weight but it's so hard. I can do great in the morning and the afternoon but by the time night hits all bets are off. I know that I suffer from emotional eating or eating just out of boredom. It's a horrible habit to break. I think it might help to talk to other people going through a similar situation. If losing weight was so easy this forum would not exist.

I was doing that. I'd eat while I was watching the TV or on the computer because I was board. I now try to have a project to take up my time when I get home from work. Keep busy with something. If you Dr. says you can walk start with that. In the end the only one who is going to be able to do it is you. You have to make the decision that you want to do this. Once you have made that choice the other good choices will be easer. You also have to understand that you can never go back to the way you ate before and once you start eating healthy you won't want to go back. The way I look at is. Many others have lost weight. If they can do it so can I.
