New to Group

I'm new here and I'm searching for support. I have lost almost 100 pounds, and I'm very proud of that. My problem is I am not where I want to be yet and I seem to have hit a stall that I just can't break Also, I have come to realize that I have a awful body image problem....I don't think I visualize what I look like now, I just see myself as big and that depresses me. I do not want to back slide!!!!!

Hi Ann. Welcome to 3FatChicks. Congrats on the big loss. I can understand you wanting to hold that loss and continue on. Take a look around the forum and if you see any topics that interest you, jump right on in. Everyone is here for the same reason, to get and give support.

Hello Ann! What a wonderful accomplishment your weight loss is! :)

I think it's kind of common to hit the point where you are now. I did years ago and regained, but I'm in a better frame of mind now and determined to maintain once I've reached the goal. The stagnation times are really hard, aren't they?

When giving myself a pep talk during the zero loss times I remind myself that this is for life and that the weight will come off if I just keep on plan.

Like you, I suffer from poor body image. Always have. It's certainly a quandary. When looking in the mirror I will say, "OK - you're not what you want to be, but look how far you have come!" That usually helps.
